Cameron Roagan wins Tack & Turnout 2009

TACK & TURNOUT
Being a member of a riding club involves many disaplines and T&T is one of them this means hard work to me. Getting everything spotless clean starting with your pony. My pony has to be shampood spending lots of time on his mane and tail brushing,combing and detangling, although i think this is more girls work so I dont mind any girls wishing to help. Next job is saddle and bridal mum makes us clean our tack all the time but at this time it has to be perfect. Buckles polished leather oil\'d and condition on. My clothes are cleaned by my mum so all I need to do is keep her happy and smile when wearing my show clothes. Boots are down to me and if the dirt is not cleaned off before i hide it with polish mum always knows and makes me do them again so it takes twice as long. I would then put patch to bed which has to be perfect every little ball of pooh out and fresh shavins in again dont just hide the pooh with the fresh shavins not only will mum find them so will your pony. Then its off to the bath for me and bed. Mum says you only get out what you put in and when i stood in the line up and it was between me amd my auntie Gail I though Auntie Gail must have it then I seen her getting the blue rosette and I got red. I was proud of my hard work. Cameron
